Prices, price changes and promotions

Store prices

Each item has a regular price. To charge differently at one store, open the item → Store prices and set that store's price. Head office can copy store prices from one store to another (Head office → Copy prices).

Scheduled price changes

1. Catalog → Pricing & promotions → Price changes → New.
2. Add items and new prices, choose stores and the date/time it should apply.
3. Save. The change applies automatically; registers pick it up on their next sync.
4. Choose New shelf tags to print tags for the changed items.

Promotions

Create a promotion with the items or departments it covers, the discount, start and end dates. Promotions apply automatically at the register.

Discounts at the register

Cashiers with the discount permission can discount a line or the whole sale by percent or amount. Others need a manager PIN. Discounts apply after promotions and are never allowed on items marked non-promotable.

Why totals always match

The register calculates prices offline with the same rules the server uses. Every synced sale is re-priced on the server; any difference is flagged for review — never silently changed.
