Use the LeisureNexus API and webhooks

Create an API key, make your first request, and receive signed webhooks.

7 min read Updated Oct 14, 2026 Developer API & Webhooks module

1. Create an API key

Settings → Developer API → New key. Choose scopes (for example items:read, customers:write), a default store, a rate limit and an optional expiry. The key starts with lnk_ and is shown once — store it safely.

2. Make a request

Send the key as a bearer token to https://api.leisurenexus.app/v1/…. For example, list items updated since a date:

  • GET /v1/items?updated_since=2026-10-01 with header Authorization: Bearer lnk_…

Responses are JSON. Rate limits are returned in X-RateLimit-* headers; errors have a clear JSON message.

3. What you can do

  • Read locations, departments, items (store prices, barcodes) and stock.
  • Read, add and update customers.
  • Read orders (sales and refunds — never card processor details) and wholesale sales orders.

4. Webhooks

  1. Developer API → Webhooks → Add endpoint with your public HTTPS address.
  2. Choose events: order.completed, order.voided, customer.created, customer.updated, sales_order.invoiced.
  3. Copy the whsec_ signing secret (shown once).
  4. Check the X-LeisureNexus-Signature header (t=…,v1=…, HMAC-SHA256 of the timestamp and body) before trusting a delivery.

Failed deliveries are retried from 1 minute up to 12 hours; after 20 failures in a row the endpoint is switched off. Use Send test and the delivery log while building.

Never put an API key in a public web page or mobile app. Call the API from your server.
