1. Turn on Manufacturing

Choose the Manufacturing ERP profile in Settings → Your business. ERP → Production appears.

2. Recipes

Create a recipe for each product: components and quantities per batch, how many units a batch makes, and labour and overhead per batch. The cost per unit updates live as component costs change.

3. Production runs

  1. Production → New run: recipe and number of batches.
  2. Shortages are shown straight away so you can buy or transfer before starting.
  3. When done, Mark as made with the real quantity produced.

4. What happens in stock and the books

Components are consumed at their average cost; finished goods are added at the total cost (components + labour + overhead). Labour and overhead are absorbed into Production applied, so the books balance.
