Playbook: salon, spa or service business
Bookable services, staff calendars, online booking with deposits, check-in at the register, retail products and commissions.
What you get
Choosing Services adds Appointments: a calendar by staff member, online booking, check-in and ring-up at the register, and commissions.
Step-by-step setup
- Administration → Your business → Services (add Retail if you also sell products).
- Catalog → Departments: Hair, Colour, Nails, Spa, Retail products.
- Catalog → Items: each service with its price and Service length (e.g. 45 minutes) — that makes it bookable. Use Open price for services priced on the day.
- Administration → Staff & roles: each stylist or therapist with a register PIN. They appear as bookable people.
- Point of sale → Online ordering → Take bookings online: Days ahead (e.g. 30), Not sooner than (e.g. 2 hours) and Deposit % (e.g. 50% for colour). Share the /book/your-name link on your website and Google profile.
- Administration → Commissions → Add a commission: e.g. 10% on services for stylists, $2 per unit on retail products.
- Turn on tips in Your business → Tips if clients tip by card.
