What you get

Choosing Retail gives you the scan-first register with age checks. Liquor stores add mix-and-match deals, clubs and stricter ID rules.

Step-by-step setup

  1. Catalog → Departments: Beer, Wine, Spirits, Mixers, Snacks; Minimum age 21 on alcohol.
  2. Catalog → Items → Import; add case barcodes so a scanned case rings the case price.
  3. Administration → Restricted sales: alcohol hours per day, and Scan the ID on every sale if you want no checking by eye.
  4. Catalog → Pricing → New promotion for mix and match: e.g. Wine department, 10% off, Only when buying at least 6; a second one at higher priority for 12 at 15%.
  5. Customers → Clubs → New club "Wine club", add members; a promotion with Who gets it: Members of Wine club only gives them their price.
  6. Kegs: set the item's Bottle deposit (e.g. $30.00); returns are paid with Shift → Bottle return.
  7. Pair registers and ring a test sale with an ID scan.
